Kyoko Hirano, the younger sister of Yasuko, has been a longtime supporter of Ivan's exhibitions since 1986, when he held his first solo show in Japan. The venue for this year's exhibition, Cafe Little Gallery, was also the venue where Kyoko Hirano had planned to hold the Ivan Baron exhibition before her death. Although the exhibition was cancelled last April due to the declaration of a state of emergency, the Ivan Baron exhibition was held at the same venue to commemorate the memory of Kyoko Hirano. Mrs. Yasuko was also present during the exhibition period, and we remembered Kyoko together with everyone.

The report and Thanks for our Charity Exhibition
I was thinking deeply of something I could do for the area, where there was a great deal of damage to towns and villages. With the help of the gallery, I managed to arrange a fundraising charity exhibition. As the result of many people's support, we raised ¥991,750 and all the money was donated to the Osaka branch of the Japanese Red Cross on June 15th 2011. I thank all the people who supported this event and pray for those who have lost friends and family, may they rest in peace.
